Notes: Officially, all wines from the appellations of Haut-Médoc, Listrac-Médoc, Margaux, Médoc, Moulis, Pauillac, Saint-Estephe and Saint-Julien may use the Médoc appellation, but only wines produced in the northern part of the Médoc actually do.
Médoc wines consequently reflect all the characteristics of the other appellations.

Pomerol

Average annual Production : 4,000,000 bottles

Notes : Pomerol is a Bordeaux appellation that produces only red wine. It includes the parishes of Libourne and Pomerol.
Several great wines bear this appellation, the most prestigious being that of Pétrus.
